台南市消防局第一救災救護大隊立即派遣新營、鹽水、後壁分隊由小隊長曾文男帶隊趕往救援，新營分隊隊員黃鈺翔到場後，穿著救生裝備立即入水游到林女身邊，以推浮方式將她帶至岸邊，再與消防員陳洲添、陳世欽等人合力救援處置後，克服險峻、穿越泥濘將女子搬運上岸，平安脫險，送往柳營奇美院醫救治。
