UFC Freedom 250 delivered one of the most talked-about nights in the promotion's history, but Dana White has now revealed that major security concerns unfolded behind the scenes before the event even began. The UFC president said the alleged drone attack plot announced by the FBI was only one of several threats authorities were monitoring ahead of the historic card at the White House. Despite the concerns, the event proceeded without incident as fans watched Justin Gaethje defeat Ilia Topuria in the main event. White credited federal agencies for their work and said attendees were never in danger during the landmark show.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, White disclosed that security officials were tracking multiple potential threats in the days leading up to the event. His comments came after the FBI announced the arrest of five individuals, including 19-year-old Tycen Proper, who allegedly planned an attack involving explosive-packed drones and a sniper rifle. "There was more than that [plot]. There was more than that," White said while discussing the situation. He added that he received updates throughout the week and remained aware of developments as law enforcement agencies worked behind the scenes. White praised investigators for preventing any disruptions and ensuring the event moved forward safely. "The FBI is so good. These guys are so good at what they do. The up-to-date things that I had during the week of the fight, these guys are incredible," he said. While acknowledging that large-scale events often attract unwanted attention, White suggested that security officials were fully prepared for every scenario. He also emphasized that no injuries occurred and that fans, fighters and guests were able to enjoy the event without knowing the extent of the security operation taking place around them.

Although Freedom 250 generated massive attention and strong business results, White has indicated that the promotion is unlikely to stage another event at the White House. The UFC boss described the card as a unique experience that may never be repeated because of the challenges involved. The event was held on the South Lawn of the White House and featured appearances from President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump. Fighters toured parts of the White House before competing, creating a setting unlike any previous UFC event. Justin Gaethje captured the lightweight title, while the card drew significant attention across sports and political circles. White later called the event a "one-of-one" experience and pointed to the enormous costs, weather concerns and logistical demands of building a temporary fight venue at a federal landmark. UFC reportedly covered an estimated $60 million cost for the production. Even with the security concerns and operational challenges, White maintained that authorities had complete control of the situation. "There was no safer place in America to be Sunday night than in D.C.," he said, reflecting on a historic night that is likely to remain one of the most unusual events in UFC history.
