Among key stations, Safdarjung recorded a maximum temperature of 36.6 degrees Celsius, which was 2.7 degrees below the season's normal and 2 degrees lower than the previous day. Palam recorded 35.5 degrees Celsius, 4.6 degrees below normal. Lodhi Road recorded 35.1 degrees Celsius, 2.9 degrees below normal. Ridge recorded 35 degrees Celsius, 5 degrees below normal. Ayanagar recorded 35.8 degrees Celsius, 5 degrees below normal.

The minimum temperature at Safdarjung settled at 24.6 degrees Celsius, 0.1 degrees below normal. Palam recorded 22.4 degrees Celsius, 3.2 degrees below normal; Lodhi Road recorded 23.4 degrees Celsius, 0.4 degrees above normal; Ridge registered 23.5 degrees Celsius, 1.5 degrees below normal, and Ayanagar logged 23.4 degrees Celsius, 0.2 degrees below normal.

The IMD has forecast thunderstorms with rain on Monday under a yellow alert, which means the residents should stay updated. The minimum temperature is expected to hover around 25 degrees Celsius and the maximum around 37 degrees Celsius.

"No heatwave conditions are likely over Delhi during the next few days. Thunderstorm activity with rain and generally cloudy skies is expected to continue till May 6, followed by partly cloudy conditions till May 9," an IMD official said.

The city's Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 175, falling in the 'moderate' category. As per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) standards, an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered 'good', 51 and 100 'satisfactory', 101 and 200 'moderate', 201 and 300 'poor', 301 and 400 'very poor', and 401 and 500 'severe'.
