The complaint stated that the passenger zoomed in his mobile phone camera to take photographs of female crew members, focusing on their legs, faces and bodies. "The accused was also reported to have used foul and abusive language, while the passenger seated next to him complained about his behaviour," the complainant said. Despite multiple warnings from the cabin crew, the unruly passenger continued to behave in a manner that made others on board uncomfortable. He was also drunk, the complainant told police. The flight crew deboarded the passenger from the flight and handed him over to the RGI Airport outpost police. Based on the complaint, RGI Airport police registered a case under Section 79 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the BNS.
