'Jana Nayagan' Box Office: Film Crosses Rs 200 Crore, Sees Dip on Day 12

Vijay’s final film ‘Jana Nayagan’ has been enjoying a solid run at the box office since its much awaited release on July 23. The film crossed the Rs 200 crore mark during its second weekend, remaining one of the top performing Tamil releases. However, with the start of the second working week, the film saw a dip in its collection. As the live estimates show, ‘Jana Nayagan’ seems to be experiencing its lowest single day total since it hit the big screens.

‘Jana Nayagan’ Day 12 live tracking

According to the latest box office estimates from trade analyst Sacnilk, ‘Jana Nayagan’ has earned over Rs 1.94 crore India net so far on Day 12. The film is running across 2,849 shows. With these numbers, it brings total India gross collections to Rs 207.21 crore and total India net to Rs 177.54 crore so far. It is imperative to mention that the final collection of Day 12 are yet to be reported as the numbers are expected to increase with the evening and night shows.

‘Jana Nayagan’ collection across languages

The live numbers of the Tamil version shows that it has made Rs 1.81 crore with 1,743 shows. On the other hand, the Hindi version has made Rs 13 lakh with 1,106 shows. On Day 11, the film collected Rs 3 crore which brings its total overseas gross to Rs 91 crore so far. This pushes the worldwide gross collection to Rs 295.92 crore.

About ‘Jana Nayagan’

Directed by H Vinoth, the film is a political action drama which shows Vijay’s character by the name Thalapathy Vetri Kondan, a former official who adopts a young girl named Viji. He wants him to become less afraid and brave, encouraging her to join forces. The film stars Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, Bobby Deol, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain, Priyamani and Sunil in key roles. The music of the film is composed by star musician Anirudh Ravichander.
