As Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam claimed victory, here is a quick look at what Vijay's manifesto promised Tamil Nadu voters. The 94-page-long manifesto document covers comprehensive policy proposals across women's welfare, youth development, governance, police reforms, govt employees, farmers, MSMEs, weavers, economic development and infrastructure.

Women's Welfare Monthly assistance of ₹2,500 for women up to 60 years, free rides on all govt buses including mofussil buses, and six free gas cylinders per year free of cost for each family. Brides will get 8 grams of gold and silk saree, Rs 25,000 financial assistance for pregnant women, and gold ring for newborns. Mother/guardian of schoolchildren to get Rs 15,000 a year to prevent dropouts. Financial assistance up to Rs 5 lakh for women's SHGs. 500 police teams for women's safety and fast-track courts for swift justice in crimes against women.

Healthcare Rs 25 lakh health insurance for all families, five new multispeciality govt hospitals, 2,000 teleconsulting clinics, PHCs will function round the clock, free IVF treatment in govt hospitals. Exclusive budget allocation Rs 500 crore a year for mental health care and services. Free sanitary pads through PDS.

Youth and Education Reservation for govt school students will be increased to 10% from 7.5% in UG and PG, collateral-free education loans up to ₹20 lakh for UG to PhD students. Unemployed youth will get ₹2,500 (diploma) and Rs 4,000 (graduates) monthly allowance. Youth will receive ₹8,000 (diploma holders) and Rs 10,000 (graduate) monthly stipend for skill development programmes. A collateral-free loan of up to Rs 25 lakh for business development for youth.

Police and govt employees Police personnel will receive a basic salary increase from Rs 18,200 to Rs 25,000. Those in "high stress" jobs will receive an additional Rs 1,000 per month. Women police will not be assigned for protocol duties. All temporary staff serving for more than five years will be regularised.

Farmers and fishermen Minimum selling price guarantee for Rs 3,500 per quintal paddy, Rs 4,500 per ton of sugar cane, a cultivator's rights card that will provide Rs 10,000 annual investment support to tenant farmers and labour families, 100% crop insurance coverage, full co-operative crop loan waiver for farmers owing up to 5 acres and 50% waiver for those with more than 5 acres. Fishermen will get Rs 20,000 month during fishing ban period and a monsoon assistance of Rs 7,000. Registered fishermen will receive an accident insurance of Rs 25 lakh.

MSMEs Rs 15000 crore state credit guarantee fund to revive MSME. Electricity tax will be waived for next 5 years, power tariff will be rationalised, and no peak-hour charges for industries.

Weavers and Handloom Weavers will receive ₹30,000 per year to offset the surge in electricity and yarn prices and enhanced support for handloom cooperatives. Handloom weavers will get 500 units of free electricity, power loom weavers will get 1,500 units of free electricity. Weavers will get a life insurance of Rs 10 lakh and old age pension will be increased to Rs 3000 per month.

Energy and transport Monthly billing for electricity, all TNSTC buses will be electric vehicles, subsidies up to Rs 1 lakh for rooftop solar panels.
