KOLKATA: Former West Bengal chief minister and TMC chief Mamata Banerjee, wearing a lawyer's court, arrived at the Calcutta high court to appear before chief justice HC Sujoy Pal, in connection with the post-poll violence PIL case on Thursday. She is expected to raise questions on several aspects of the case proceedings. The petition was filed by Shirshanya Bandopadhyay, the son of TMC leader-cum-advocate Kalyan Bandopadhyay. The case involves allegations of assaults on political workers and party offices after the closely contested elections that ended the Trinamool Congress’s 15-year tenure and led to the BJP coming to power in the state.
