According to Kadiri CI Narayana Reddy, the accused was identified as Ganga Raju, a resident of Eedula Palli village in Mudigubba mandal. The accused had a marital discord with his wife Suneetha and had severely thrashed her. After her parents got Suneetha admitted to the govt area hospital at Kadiri, Ganga Raju reached the hospital and convinced his wife to get admitted to a private hospital for better treatment. When she agreed and walked out of the hospital ward into the Verandah, Ganga Raju pulled out a knife which he brought along and slit her wife’s throat and killed her on the spot. Kadiri police rushed to the spot after learning about the incident and took Ganga Raju into their custody and registered a case.
