Meghan McCain’s new game show is being streamed at President Donald Trump’s Great American State Fair — seemingly to a crowd of no one.

Despite being billed as a landmark event celebrating America’s 250th birthday, photos and videos of the fair — which runs from June 24 to this Friday — show sparse crowds and lightly attended events.

In an apparent attempt to lure in visitors, organizers of the Great American State Fair have started livestreaming a new game show hosted by McCain, the daughter of the late Arizona Senator John McCain.

McCain, 41, shared a lackluster snapshot of the stage on Tuesday, noting it was “so cool” to get to host her U.S. history trivia show at the fair.

The image showed her face blown up across three large screens. However, the aspect ratio was off, and it didn’t fit on the two side monitors, highlighting the fair’s less-than-enthusiastic turnout, which has reportedly enraged the president.

The photo McCain shared on social media showed several folding chairs in an empty field — without a single fair attendee in sight.

“So cool to host @2waytvapp new game show ‘Race 2 Win’ at The Great American State Fair today!” she wrote on X.

McCain’s show is based on American history trivia questions. The question on the screen at the time the photo was taken asked, “What material is the dome of the U.S. Capital Building made of?”

Trump’s Great American State Fair, billed as a big celebration for America’s 250th, has not seen the crowds organizers had anticipated — and it was not immediately clear whether adding McCain’s show to the lineup helped attendance at all.

The event, however, had been facing issues even before it began. Multiple performers, including Martina McBride, Young MC, the Commodores and others, backed out after saying they only agreed to perform because they believed the event was organized by America 250, a bipartisan group, and not the MAGA-aligned Freedom 250.

Photos and videos have shown thin crowds and large, empty stretches of pavement at the fest, which was decked out with Trumpian flare, from MAGA merch being sold on the grounds to a small model of Trump’s “Arc de Trump.”

Organizers blamed inclement weather, from the blistering July heat to severe storms that forced closures and postponements during opening weekend and forced thousands of attendees to evacuate the National Mall.

A power issue that struck opening weekend also left some booths with frozen food, while others had melted ice cream. One sponsor, Mt Olive Pickle Company, ended up pulling out of the event after a Confederate flag was spotted at a booth.

During the event’s kickoff celebration, Trump delivered a lengthy, campaign-style speech, declaring that “America is back.”

He later went on to boast that his speech was “packed to the brim” with 45,000 attendees — though video of the event undermined that claim.

Video posted on social media also clearly showed people walking away from Trump with their backs to him while he was still speaking.

The fair is set to run through Friday, July 10.

The Independent has contacted Freedom 250 for comment.
