NSW had a poor set and Mitchell Moses kicked from his own 20-metre line.

But the ball hit a Maroon who rushed out of the line, ref Ash Klein deemed it a charge down, and Brian To'o collected the ball and ran over halfway.

The Maroons are on the back foot, as the NSW march to the goal-line.

But an error by the Blues gives the Maroons a reprieve.

Queensland winger Selwyn Cobbo makes a break up the middle to start Queensland's first set.

It allows the Maroons to march down the field and puts up an attacking kick to the corner.

But NSW winger Mark Nawaqanitawase rises well and takes the footy cleanly.

Radley has a record of wayward tackles , compared to the effect of Ponga’s tackle resulting in a send off it would appear that officials have been directed to avoid any use of sin bin or send off

Victor Radley had two high tackles in the first half.

The second hit was unlucky. The first hit was heavy.

He hit Trent Loiero after rushing out of the line and appearing to rise into the collision.

There could be an argument for a sin bin, but the officials deemed that putting Radley on report would be enough.

A gripping and captivating half of State of Origin comes to an end.

Queensland took the early 2-0 lead, but when Tom Flegler dropped the ball off the kick-off, it allowed NSW to pick up and score.

The Blues were on top for much of the half, with a try to Mark Nawaqanitawase giving NSW a 12-2 lead.

But Trent Loiero finished off a magnificent passage of Queensland play to score one of the finest tries this year.

The Blues have a full set at the Queensland line, after a high kick was not gathered by the Maroons, played at by Max Plath, and regathered by NSW.

But the Maroons defence has stood tall.

The Blues were threatening to score, but when Hudson Young took the ball near the touchline, the NSW back-rower was whacked by Jojo Fifita and Robert Toia, and bundled into touch.

With Cam Munster off, Sam Walker needs to do all the long kicking.

Unfortunately, Walker does not have a very long kick by Origin standards.

It has resulted in NSW starting sets with good field position.

The Maroons have a full set at the NSW goal-line after another high tackle by NSW interchange Victory Radley.

The Blues defend their line well. and the final play from the Maroons is sloppy.

A ball is on the ground, kicked through by Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, and NSW centre Kotoni Staggs just whacks the ball out.

NSW interchange Victory Radley has come out of the defensive line and hit Queensland's Trent Loiero high.

The Maroons are asking for this to be reviewed for a sin bin.

The official has placed Radley on report.

Radley might be a little lucky. Softer hits have led to the sin bin.

NSW Blues winger Mark Nawaqanitawase has come so, so close to scoring a freakish try.

He dived for the corner, reached out with one arm, and grounded the ball.

But he grounds the footy on the dead-ball line, thanks to a try-saving tackle by Maroons winger Selwyn Cobbo.

Queensland captain Cameron Munster is off for a Head Injury Assessment.

His head hit the ground hard during the play where Queensland scored their try.

Max Plath has come on.

Trent Loiero has finished off one of the great State of Origin tries.

Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow makes a break down the left, and is tackled for the last play.

The Maroons go down the short side with Harry Grant. Grant passes to Cam Munster, and Munster gets a pass away before getting slammed into the ground.

The Maroons keep the ball alive, and Loiero finishes off the magnificent team try.

Prior to the second NSW try, Queensland Maroons prop Tino Fa'asuamaleaui came off the field.

We have learned it was for a Head Injury Assessment, called for by the Queensland trainer.

NSW have their second try.

Mark Nawaqanitawase has scored in the right corner.

Starting their set near the halfway, after a great defensive set, puts the Blues in a great position.

Queensland conceded two six-again restarts, putting them on their own goal-line.

Halfback Nathan Cleary puts in a grubber kick, that comes off legs and bounces in the air.

Cleary regathers and then fires a great pass to Nawaqanitawase.

Cleary nails the conversion attempt from the right touchline.
