Robert Evans Jr Pleads Guilty to Manslaughter Over Unpaid Restaurant Bill

Robert Evans Jr, 25, has pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Sharif Rahman, 44, following a dispute over an unpaid $150 restaurant bill in Owen Sound, Canada, in August 2023. His father, Robert Busby Evans, 49, and uncle, Barry Evans, 56, pleaded guilty to being accessories to the crime and have been sentenced to time already served. The Evans family, believed to be from Manchester but extradited from Scotland, will see Robert Evans Jr sentenced next month. Rahman, a father of one originally from Bangladesh, died a week after the alleged altercation outside a curry house. The community describes him as a "wonderful, warm man."
