The Saudi foreign minister also thanked Portugal for its support on regional issues, including its official recognition of the State of Palestine and backing for peaceful initiatives aimed at implementing the two-state solution.

Prince Faisal further praised Portugal for hosting the King Abdullah International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID) in Lisbon, highlighting the organisation's role in promoting dialogue, understanding and coexistence among different cultures and faiths.
