Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was admitted to hospital on Sunday after feeling unwell ahead of the club's Premier League clash against Liverpool FC at Old Trafford. The 84-year-old football legend, who still regularly attends Manchester United matches both home and away, had arrived at the stadium to watch one of English football's fiercest rivalries when the health scare occurred.

According to Sky Sports News, Ferguson was conscious and underwent precautionary medical checks. While the exact nature of the illness has not been disclosed, early reports suggested the situation was not considered serious. Ferguson remains one of the most successful football managers in history. He took charge of Manchester United in 1986 and completely transformed the club over the next 27 years. During his tenure, Ferguson guided the club to 13 Premier League titles and two UEFA Champions League trophies.
