農業部自2022年推動水稻收入保險，理賠範圍包含天災、病蟲害等，保險分為基本型與加強型，農業部表示，基本型水稻收入保險為全面納保，保費由農業部全額補助。
加強型則是當該地區稻米減產超過10%以上就啟動理賠，並隨糧食產業升級計畫，公糧稻農也可以投保，保費由農業部補助5成，部分縣市也提供加碼補助，農民最低只要繳交1成保費就可投保，不論是基本型或加強型水稻收入保險，農民都可向當地農會洽詢。
另加強型水稻收入保險又分為一般及優質加強型，農業部表示，優質加強型限「契作集團產區營運主體」，或取得「有機」、「產銷履歷」或「友善環境耕作」驗證者加保。
