Travis Head has won his second consecutive Allan Border Medal, narrowly beating Alex Carey by a single vote. The award, recognizing Australia's leading male cricketer, was presented in Brisbane due to scheduling delays. Head's 153 votes topped Carey's 152, with Mitchell Starc third on 150. Starc, who ended his T20I career, won the Shane Warne Test Player of the Year award. Mitchell Marsh took the ODI award, and Tim David was named Australia's best T20 player. Head joins an elite group of multiple winners, including Ricky Ponting and Steve Smith. His season highlights include a match-winning 123 in the Perth Ashes Test and a 170 in Adelaide. Carey had a career-best season with 1,079 runs and 28 dismissals in the Ashes. The event, usually held in Melbourne, was delayed to ensure player attendance.
