AMD announced extended support for its AM4 and AM5 processor sockets, with AM5 guaranteed through at least 2029. New chips include a "10th Anniversary Edition" Ryzen 7 5800X3D for AM4 and the Ryzen 7 7700X3D for AM5, both featuring 3D V-Cache.
AMD may re-release the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, a 4-year-old CPU with 96MB of L3 cache, as a cost-effective upgrade for users with older Ryzen CPUs and DDR4 RAM on Socket AM4 motherboards, amid price increases for newer components.
