A robbery suspect, Alphanso Talley, 26, has been charged with murder and attempted murder for fatally shooting Officer John Bartholomew, 38, and critically wounding a second officer at Endeavor Health Swedish Hospital in Chicago. The officers had brought Talley to the hospital for observation following his arrest for an armed robbery. Talley fled the scene and was arrested less than two hours later. Police recovered three weapons. The wounded officer, 57, remains in critical condition.
