The Indian Railways Technical Supervisors' Association (IRTSA) has submitted a memorandum to the 8th Pay Commission demanding five distinct fitment factors for technical staff at different levels, citing job complexities, hazards, and qualifications. They proposed a 5% annual increment, promotional increment equivalent to two annual increments, and a separate CPI for calculating Dearness Allowance.
