Former India spinner R Ashwin criticized Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya for handing young pacer Krish Bhagat the crucial death overs (16th and 20th) in the loss to Chennai Super Kings. Ashwin questioned why Pandya, who bowled the final over of the 2024 T20 World Cup, didn't take the responsibility himself when he still had overs left. Bhagat gave away 31 runs in those overs.
