Victor Wembanyama Placed in NBA Concussion Protocol After Fall in Playoff Loss
Victor Wembanyama was placed in the NBA concussion protocol after tumbling face-first during the Spurs' 106-103 playoff loss to Portland on Tuesday. The 7ft 4in center, who won this year's NBA Defensive Player of the Year, was fouled by Jrue Holiday and couldn't brace himself as his jaw hit the court in the second quarter. Game 3 is Friday in Portland, making it improbable he'll be cleared. The Spurs went 12-6 during the regular season without Wembanyama.
