
Cooper Flagg Wins NBA Rookie of the Year, Edging Former Duke Roommate Kon Knueppel
Cooper Flagg was named NBA Rookie of the Year on Monday, defeating his former Duke teammate Kon Knueppel by just 26 points in voting. Flagg, 19, received 56 first-place votes and became the second-youngest winner in award history, joining an elite group of rookies to average 20+ points, 6+ rebounds and 4+ assists. Knueppel set the rookie 3-point record with 273 made.
