Residents petition against bollards at Doctor Who filming location in Cardiff

Cardiff City Council has installed bollards at Y Groes in Rhiwbina Garden Village, where scenes from the 2011 Doctor Who Christmas special were filmed. Residents have launched a petition signed by more than 200 people calling on the council to reconsider, claiming the posts are altering the character of the green and feel out of keeping with the area. The council says the bollards were needed to prevent vehicles driving on and damaging the grassed area, noting bollards already existed around more than half of the green.
