The European Union has imposed sanctions on Olga Korchagina and Pavel Chernyshev, founders of Simbirsk Design Bureau "Piranya," a Russian company manufacturing up to 10,000 FPV drones monthly for the Russian armed forces.
The European Union has blacklisted Russian drone manufacturers, including Denis Merzlikin's ASFPV (producer of Veterok drones) and the Gortenzia design bureau, along with defense enterprises Rotor and Signal, as part of its 21st package of anti-Russian sanctions for supporting Russian armed forces.
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy gave Belarus one week to remove Russian military equipment used in attacks on Ukraine, threatening to do so himself. The Czech Republic's Foreign Ministry lodged a formal protest with Russia's ambassador on April 20, summoning Alexander Zemeyevsky over threats to Czech companies included in a Russian Defense Ministry list of European enterprises producing drones for Ukraine. Foreign Minister Petr Macinka called the rhetoric 'absolutely unacceptable,' while Russian Security Council Secretary Dmitry Medvedev described the list as 'potential targets for the Russian Armed Forces.'
