Eli Lilly's new GLP-1 weight loss pill Foundayo has attracted over 20,000 users in its first few weeks on the market, with more than 1,000 people starting the daily medication each day, CEO Dave Ricks said in a CNBC interview. The FDA approved Foundayo earlier this month, making it the second oral GLP-1 drug behind Novo Nordisk's Wegovy pill. More than 80% of Foundayo users are new to GLP-1s. Eli Lilly posted first-quarter earnings that beat expectations, with Mounjaro and Zepbound sales spiking 125% and 80% respectively.
