British-Australian ultramarathon swimmer Andy Donaldson has completed the 55km Dam to Dam Challenge from Lake Argyle to Kununurra in East Kimberley, finishing in a record time of 11 hours and 51 minutes. The 35-year-old became the first man to complete the grueling swim through the Ord River, which is home to approximately 5,500 freshwater crocodiles. He beat the previous record of 16 hours and 13 minutes set by Simone Blaser in 2024, who was part of his support crew.
