Hashdex is shutting down its $14.7 million Hashdex Bitcoin ETF (DEFI), giving holders until August 17 to sell before liquidation begins August 18 due to operating cost pressures.

Hashdex announced it will liquidate its eponymous spot Bitcoin ETF this month, distributing cash to all remaining shareholders and selling its approximately 225 BTC holdings. The decision follows an evaluation of factors including trading liquidity, operating costs, and investor interest, with the fund holding $14.25 million in net assets.
