Juha Miettinen Dies in Multi-Car Collision at Nürburgring Qualifiers

Finnish racing driver Juha Miettinen, 66, has died following a multi-car collision during the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers in Germany. Seven drivers were involved in the incident, which prompted race control to immediately halt the competition. Emergency services arrived quickly but could not save Miettinen, who died at the medical centre after resuscitation attempts failed. The other six drivers were taken for precautionary examinations, none in life-threatening condition. The race will resume Sunday at 1pm local time with a minute's silence in Miettinen's honour.
