Glasgow City Council Investigates River Bus Revival Through Waterfront Pontoons

Glasgow City Council has approved an investigation into bringing waterfront pontoons back into use, with the possibility of launching a river bus service. The last ferry service ended last year when Renfrew Ferry ceased operations. A councillor has raised the prospect of the ongoing Custom House Quay and Carlton Place regeneration project allowing river travel to resume, describing himself as a champion of getting the river back as a transit mechanism.
