Cole Tomas Allen, 31, from Torrance, California, was arrested after shots were fired inside the Washington Hilton where the White House Correspondents' Dinner was taking place on Saturday. Sources told CBS the suspect said he wanted to shoot officials in the Trump administration. He was armed with a shotgun, a handgun, and multiple knives. Security officials exchanged fire with the suspect, who was not struck but was taken to hospital for evaluation. Allen worked for C2 Education and graduated from Caltech in 2017. He faces two counts of using a firearm during a crime of violence and assault on federal officers.
