Singapore Court Jails Indian-Origin Man 19 Months for Molesting Friend's Minor Sister
A 33-year-old Indian-origin man has been sentenced to 19 months in jail by a Singapore court for molesting his friend's minor sister over a decade ago. The abuse occurred when the victim was between seven and nine years old, while Melvinder Singh Gurmit Singh was aged 19 to 21. The victim filed a police report in March 2023, more than ten years after the offences, saying she felt nobody would believe her initially.
