Teacher Jailed for Life for Abusing and Murdering Adopted Baby
Jamie Varley, a secondary school teacher, has been sentenced to a whole-life order for the sexual abuse and murder of 13-month-old Preston Davey, whom he was adopting. His partner, John McGowan-Fazakerley, received 25 years for related offenses. The baby suffered 40 traumatic injuries before his death.
