English gymnast Gabriel Langton has been cleared of serious injury after a sickening fall at the Commonwealth Games on Friday. Langton fell head first from three metres to the floor after missing his catch on the horizontal metal bar during the opening day of competition and was taken to hospital. Team England said Langton underwent "multiple scans" on Saturday with "very positive results". The 19-year-old, who has not qualified for any remaining events at the Games, will be discharged from hospital on Saturday evening. "He is in good spirits and hugely grateful for the many messages of support and the excellent care provided by the medical teams," a statement said. "He is looking forward to being reunited with the team to celebrate his silver medal."
