부산=연합뉴스) 김재홍 기자 = 부산 북갑 국회의원 보궐선거에 출마한 무소속 한동훈 후보가 23일 더불어민주당 하정우 후보가 자신을 둘러싼 의혹이나 자당에 불리한 정치 현안에 적극적인 설명을 하지 않는 것을 작심 비판했다.
한 후보는 이날 오후 선거캠프에서 기자들과 만나 '(야권의) 공세에 묵묵부답인 하 후보가 왜 그러는 것 같은가?'라는 질문에 "그러려면 (선거에) 왜 나온 건지 모르겠다"며 날을 세웠다.
그러면서 "정치인을 지지하는 이유는 생김새 때문도 아니고, 스펙 때문도 아니다"며 "정치인이 국민을 위해서 중요한 결정을 할 때 어떤 결정을 할 것인지 예측하고 지지하는 것"이라고 주장했다.
한 후보는 하 후보의 업스테이지 주식 매각 관련 의혹을 두고 "이 사람이 과연 아주 기본적인 공적인 도덕성을 갖췄는지 여부를 알 수가 없는 것 아닐까요?"라고 되묻기도 했다.
특히 하 후보가 '대한민국의 주적이 어디냐' 질문에 대답을 회피했다는 주장에 대해서는 "주적은 북한이다. 그걸 헷갈리는 사람은 대한민국에서 건강한 정치를 할 수 없다고 생각한다"고 말했다.
그는 또 하 후보가 민주당이 강행하는 '공천 취소 특검법'과 전재수 부산시장 후보의 까르띠에 시계 수수 의혹 등에 대한 입장을 내놓지 않은 점을 지적하면서 "이렇게 정치하면 안 된다고 생각한다"고 재차 강조했다.
