Honda City Facelift Launched in India with Level 2 ADAS, Larger Infotainment

Honda Cars India has rolled out the updated version of the Honda City with fresh styling, a larger infotainment screen, added safety technology, and cosmetic upgrades aimed at taking on rivals in the midsize sedan segment. The facelifted sedan starts at Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top-end version goes up to Rs 21 lakh (ex-showroom).

The updated model comes as competition heats up between sedans like the Hyundai Verna, Skoda Slavia, and Volkswagen Virtus in the Indian market.

Honda City Facelift Interior

Honda has revised the cabin layout with a focus on improving the overall feel inside the car. One of the major updates is a 65 per cent larger infotainment display. The sedan also gets dashboard lighting, footwell lighting, and console illumination to create a more premium cabin ambience.

The facelift continues with Ivory-themed interiors and improved airflow inside the cabin. Honda says these changes are aimed at making the experience more comfortable for occupants during long drives and city commutes.

New black paint option and sportier alloy wheels

The sedan is now available in six colour choices, including a newly introduced black exterior paint option. Buyers will also get red, white, and other shades.

Honda has also added newly designed 16-inch alloy wheels with a black finish. The diamond-cut design gives the sedan a sportier appearance compared to the outgoing version.

Level 2 ADAS and more safety tech added

The updated Honda City now comes with Level 2 ADAS technology under Honda Sensing. The package includes features such as collision mitigation braking system and automatic headlights.

The safety list also includes rain-sensing wipers, a 360-degree camera setup, and multiple airbags. Honda has also made bi-LED projector headlamps standard across all variants. The headlamps are connected through LED DRLs, giving the front section a redesigned look.

Honda City Facelift mileage

Honda has retained the 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine in the facelifted sedan. Customers can choose between a six-speed manual gearbox and a seven-speed CVT automatic transmission.

The company has also continued with the hybrid powertrain option, which remains one of the key highlights of the sedan. Honda claims the hybrid version delivers a mileage of 27.26 kmpl, which it says is the highest in the segment.

Longer body and sharper styling tweaks

The facelift receives several exterior updates aimed at improving aerodynamics and sharpening the overall design. Honda says the sedan is now the longest car in its segment.

With the refreshed fascia, connected LED DRLs, black-finished alloy wheels, and updated cabin features, Honda appears to be positioning the City facelift as a more tech-focused and premium offering in the midsize sedan market.
