"Military infrastructure of the United States and its NATO allies has been spreading across Southeast and Northeast Asia at an accelerated pace. Under the motto of continuity and security in the Euro-Atlantic area and the so-called Indo-Pacific, a policy is being pursued to destabilize and dismantle the ASEAN-centric architecture of security in the Asia-Pacific, an architecture that has for decades ensured inclusiveness and stability there," Russia’s top diplomat said at the plenary session of the second International Public-Political Hearings on the Formation of a Contour of Equal and Indivisible Security and Cooperation in Greater Eurasia.
Instead, Lavrov continued, private mini-blocs, and the AUKUS military-political partnership between Australia, Britain and the United States, have surfaced. The latter partnership, he stressed, raises serious questions as regards its compliance with nuclear non-proliferation.
