MiraOne Comprehensive Blood Test Launched in Mumbai

MiraOne, a comprehensive blood test, was launched on Saturday in Mumbai at the ImagiNXT conference. It integrates blood markers, DNA analysis, and pharmacogenomics into one report. Co-founded by Nickhil Jakatdar and Abhinav Kejriwal, MiraOne sequences 120 million DNA positions, offering deeper insights than standard tests. It aims to transform personalized medicine in India by providing actionable health data, moving beyond trial-and-error approaches in medication. Dr. Nikhil Phadke attended the launch.

The test highlights the genetic basis of health issues and pharmacogenomic responses to medications, ensuring more effective treatments. For example, a patient with elevated homocysteine might not benefit from standard folic acid if their genes cannot convert it, illustrating the need for genetic insights.

Jakatdar emphasized that MiraOne’s innovation lies in integrating three layers of health data into one report, facilitating precision medicine. The launch comes as India’s healthcare sector seeks more personalized approaches, indicating a potential shift towards data-driven health solutions.
