侯友宜表示，帶動觀光效應，飯店是選項之一，整個區位發展也是選項，有飯店元素當然最棒，將觀光做整合。
目前飯店是否已經飽和？觀光旅遊局長楊宗珉表示，飯店當然不會每天住滿，連假住房率當然較高，他說，觀光是整合的事項，有觀光飯店挹注到新北，大家在住宿選擇性也會增加。
侯友宜則說，李四川當時提的原意是老街活化，要有夜間經濟進來，所以把飯店留住人，是整體構思，不是單一蓋飯店。
