Noida International Airport to Begin Commercial Operations on June 15, 2026

Commercial flight operations at Noida International Airport will begin from June 15, 2026, marking the launch of one of India's most closely watched greenfield aviation projects and opening a new air gateway for the National Capital Region and north India.

The airport announced on Friday that scheduled passenger services will commence from mid-June following the inauguration of the facility by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the approval of the Aerodrome Security Programme by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security.

IndiGo will operate the first commercial flight from the airport, becoming the inaugural carrier to launch scheduled passenger services from the new aviation hub. The airport said Akasa Air and Air India Express are expected to begin operations shortly thereafter, with more details on routes, schedules and passenger services to be announced in due course.

The launch is expected to significantly boost regional connectivity and ease pressure on Delhi's existing aviation infrastructure by creating an additional major airport for the NCR. Positioned in Jewar in Uttar Pradesh, the airport has been designed with a focus on modern terminal infrastructure, multimodal connectivity and operational efficiency.

Airport authorities said the facility aims to offer a smoother passenger experience while supporting airlines with reliable and cost-efficient operations. Beyond aviation, the project is also expected to drive tourism, trade, logistics and investment activity across the wider region.
