Russia's GDP expected to decline by 0.2% in Q1 2026 - Rosstat

MOSCOW, May 15. /TASS/. Russia’s GDP in January-March 2026 will decline by 0.2% year-on-year, according to a preliminary estimate by the Federal Statistics Service (Rosstat).

Earlier Rosstat confirmed its estimate of Russian GDP growth in 2025 at 1%.

Earlier the Bank of Russia estimated the decline of Russian GDP in the first quarter of 2026 at 0.5% year-on-year, which is below its February forecast. The regulator expects GDP to grow by 0.9% in the second quarter of 2026.
