권익위에 따르면 공무원 채용시험과 국가전문자격시험 등에서 활용되는 토익·토플·텝스 등 어학시험 성적은 시행사의 자체 유효기간(통상 2년) 내 각 기관에 등록하면 최대 5년간 성적을 인정받을 수 있다.
하지만 기관별로 등록 시스템을 각각 운영해 수험생은 성적을 반복 등록해야 하고, 기관들도 성적의 진위를 개별적으로 확인해야 하는 등 비효율이 지속됐다고 권익위는 설명했다.
권익위는 이에 공공기관들의 시스템을 연계해 타 기관에 등록한 어학성적도 확인을 거쳐 인정하는 방안을 마련하라고 권고했다.
권익위는 이와 별개로 'Q-Net' 등 국가전문자격시험 시행기관에 등록한 어학성적을 '정부24'와 'e하나로민원'에서도 조회·확인 가능하도록 제도를 개선할 것을 권고했다고도 덧붙였다.
