출입국외국인사무소로 호송 중이던 불법체류 외국인이 수갑 한쪽을 푼 채 달아나 경찰이 추적 중이다.

11일 경남경찰청 등에 따르면 전날 오후 9시 30분께 경남 창원시 마산합포구 창원출입국외국인사무소 주차장에서 불법체류자 신분인 스리랑카 국적 30대 A씨가 도주했다.

당시 A씨는 경찰 호송을 받으며 승합차에서 내리는 과정에서 수갑 한쪽을 푼 상태로 도주한 것으로 파악됐다.

그가 어떻게 수갑을 풀었는지는 확인되지 않았다.

A씨는 합천에서 불법체류 혐의로 단속에 적발됐으며 같은 국적의 다른 불법체류 외국인 2명과 함께 창원출입국외국인사무소로 호송되던 중이었다.

호송 당시 경찰관 4명이 있었던 것으로 전해졌다.

경찰은 가용 인력을 동원해 A씨 행방을 쫓고 있다.
