Swiss football manager Fabio Celestini has left Russia's CSKA Moscow football club, vacating the post of the team's head coach, the club's press office announced in a statement on Monday. The contract was severed by mutual consent, and along with Celestini, his team of assistant coaches Manel Exposito, Jose Blesa, Javier Noya, Gabriele Bagattini, and Paolo Favaretto will also leave CSKA FC. Dmitry Igdisamov, head coach of the CSKA Moscow youth team, has been appointed acting head coach. "We thank Fabio Celestini for winning the Super Cup, the vibrant football and emotions of 2025, and for the faith and development of the club's students," the statement reads. Celestini, 50, took reins of the Russian football club last summer, leading it to win the country's Super Cup. Following 11 rounds of the Russian Premier League (RPL) current season, the club topped the national tournament, however, it failed to win five matches in a row (three draws, two defeats).
