台北市長蔣萬安今（22）天早上到議會進行無菸城市、營養午餐等多項政策的專案報告，拔得頭籌質詢的市議員徐立信，連問了美國總統川普傳出將與總統賴清德通話，以及民進黨籍台北市長參選人沈伯洋是否是代表台灣與美國談判的最佳人選，蔣萬安除了以「尚不確定」回應川普熱線，與徐立信的詢答「各說各話」。

徐立信問蔣萬安對全世界都在關心的川普、賴清德能不能通上話的看法，還問說民進黨籍台北市長參選人沈伯洋說「台獨黨綱」已經廢除，是否認為沈是代表台灣跟美國談判的最佳人選？蔣萬安笑了一聲說，「我的立場就是堅定捍衛中華民國主權、恪遵中華民國憲法，以及守護台灣的民主、自由與法治」。

徐立信不放棄又追問說「這問題你心裡有答案，不好說嗎？」蔣萬安一度語塞，接著表示，身為首都市長專注在市政議題，也願意敞開心胸跟國際間各個主要城市進行城市外交，進行施政的交流，「這是我們的職責」。
