Tim Tszyu has secured a monumental victory over Errol Spence Jr. in a non-title middleweight boxing match in Sydney, winning by unanimous decision (118-110, 117-111, 117-111). This victory marks a significant milestone for Tszyu, improving his record to 28-3, while Spence, a former unified world welterweight champion, announced his retirement in the ring following his second consecutive defeat.

Spence, 36, had not fought since 2023 due to a car crash that could have ended his career. Despite showing promise in early rounds with his jab and left hook, he appeared rusty and struggled with footwork, eventually running out of steam. Tszyu, fighting at middleweight for the first time and leveraging his size advantage, successfully dictated the pace of the fight.

Post-fight, Tszyu credited his new coach, Jeff Fenech, for helping him stick to his game plan and expressed his desire to win a world title, though he noted that beating Spence was more meaningful.
