US President Donald Trump will not stop the extradition of influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan to the UK, where they face sex crime charges, the White House said on Thursday.

"No," White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said during a news briefing when asked whether Trump or the administration intended to intervene in the Tates' extradition process.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio also said the administration would not play a role in the case.

Self-professed misogynist Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan were detained by US authorities in Miami on Saturday, in what their lawyer described as a "politically motivated" move. The brothers are challenging their extradition.

They appeared before a US federal court on Monday wearing jail uniforms and handcuffs.

Court documents unsealed on Monday set out allegations made by three women. One woman accuses Tristan Tate of rape and assault during a long-term relationship beginning in 2012, including alleged assaults while she was unconscious.

Two other women accuse Andrew Tate of rape and assault in incidents dating from 2014 and 2015 after meeting him through a webcam business and a dating app.

The Tate brothers, who have publicly backed Trump, are prominent figures in the online "manosphere", a network of influencers often associated with hyper-masculine content that played a role in mobilising some young male voters during the 2024 US presidential election.

A judge scheduled a further hearing for 27 July. A district judge will decide whether the legal conditions for extradition have been met.
