Wokyis has previously released docking stations for Mac mini, including models with displays and Thunderbolt 5 support. The company showcased a retro-themed Mac mini dock at COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2025.

Wokyis G7, a wearable docking station from Hong Kong's Wokyis, is optimized for Mac Studio, as indicated by its tagline "Perfectly Match Your Mac Studio."

The new model began accepting pre-orders on the crowdfunding site "Kickstarter" in June, with prices starting from $199 (approximately 32,000 yen).

New Model Features a Slim, Over-the-Top Style for Mac Studio

The company previously exhibited and sold "The Retro Workstation for Mac Mini M4," a docking station for M4 Mac mini that paid homage to the original Macintosh, at COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2025. Later, the Thunderbolt 5-compatible "Wokyis M5" was added.

The Wokyis G7, exhibited this time, features a Game Boy-like design and an enlarged 7-inch (1280x800 pixel) display, up from the 5-inch (1280x720 pixel) display of the Wokyis M5.

Similar to previous models, two versions are available: one supporting Thunderbolt 5 (80Gbps) and another supporting USB Type-C (10Gbps). Both are equipped with a rich array of interfaces on the front and back. Additionally, there is an expansion slot for NVMe SSDs on the rear top, and a control button called "MicroPad," reminiscent of the Game Boy, is located on the front of the display.

The higher-end 80Gbps model, being Thunderbolt 5 compatible, includes HDMI and DisplayPort outputs (both supporting 8K/60Hz). While the SSD transfer speeds are high, an HDMI input terminal is omitted. Furthermore, the 10Gbps model supports Mac minis with Apple M1 chips and M2/M2 Pro chips.

Campaign Underway; M4 Mac mini Model Also on Display

At the time of writing, a campaign is running offering a 45% discount (109 dollars) for a $1 pledge, with a free USB cable (normally $29) included.

Furthermore, if the Kickstarter campaign proves successful, they plan to develop a model for M4 chip-equipped Mac minis, the "Wokyis G5 10Gbps/80Gbps."

This model can be considered a smaller version of the Wokyis G7, featuring a 4.96-inch (1280x720 pixel) display. A prototype is already on display at the booth, making its future developments a point of interest.
