Woman's Husband Wishlist Sparks Debate on X

A woman's long list of expectations for her future husband has set off a debate on X, with people split between calling her standards unrealistic and defending her right to have preferences.

The post was shared by X user Vedika, who goes by the username @Crushtology_.

She asked a simple question at the end of her post, but it was everything before that which got people talking.

"I will only marry a Man who is," she wrote before listing the qualities she considers non-negotiable.

According to her, her future husband should be a virgin, earn at least ₹2 lakh a month, be naturally handsome, stand 6 feet tall, know how to cook, not be misogynistic, stay away from social media, have no female friends, ask for her permission before going anywhere, share his live location 24x7 and take her on foreign trips.

She ended the post by asking, "Where would I find a Man like that?"

The checklist spread quickly across the platform, with thousands of users jumping into the comments.

While some found it amusing, others thought it reflected unrealistic expectations of marriage.

One user didn't hold back, writing, "Instead of begging, first show your worth and qualifications. Why would anyone need your type of woman? Your craving shows a hidden leech behind the mask of a wife. (Men, be careful)."

Another comment that received attention said, "You don't want a husband. You want a virgin ATM, 6-foot bodyguard, personal chef, GPS-tracked servant, foreign-trip sponsor, and a man with zero social life. And after demanding all this, you still ask: 'Where would I find a man like that?' Answer: nowhere. Because men with self-respect don't apply for unpaid slavery disguised as marriage. Marriage is partnership. This is a job description for a controlled, isolated, high-earning hostage."

Not every reaction was that serious. Many users chose humour instead.

"Your expectations are too high buddy," one person commented.

Another joked, "Itna long checklist hai, lagta hai husband nahi, custom-made AI order karna hai."

Someone else felt expectations should work both ways, writing, "For that girl has to be same as well. You get what you give."

Even billionaire Elon Musk was dragged into the conversation.

Tagging him, one user quipped, "@elonmusk she is asking for an alien, if you find on Mars please get her one."

But the criticism wasn't one-sided.

A few users argued that the backlash itself exposed a double standard.

"If you want to see what hypocrisy looks like, check the men commenting under the post. Reverse roles and all the men will agree to it," one person wrote.
