Putin Visits China, Strengthening Ties and Extending Treaty

Russian President Putin visited China from May 19-20, meeting with President Xi Jinping. They agreed to extend the "Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation" and signed joint statements on strengthening strategic coordination and building a multipolar world. The visit also saw the launch of the "Sino-Russian Education Year" and highlighted strong bilateral trade and cultural exchanges.
