Several ASEAN countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam, are interested in Russia's ERA-GLONASS system for monitoring driverless vehicles. The system aims to enhance transportation safety and technological sovereignty.
Russia is integrating unmanned taxis, rovers, and self-propelled equipment into a unified identification system based on ERA-GLONASS. Civilian drones will be connected by March 1, 2026, with driverless trucks already integrated.
JSC GLONASS CEO Alexey Raikevich stated that Russia has achieved a technological breakthrough in military drones, surpassing China and the US in applied military technologies. He emphasized the need to leverage this momentum for leadership in military robotics and economic advantage.
