Ancy Sojan (25) sets new national record in women's long jump (6.88m) at National Inter-State Athletics Championships, surpassing Anju Bobby George's 22-year record (6.83m). Sarvesh Kushare also breaks men's high jump record (2.31m).
Dev Kumar Meena and Kuldeep Kumar shattered the national pole vault record at the National Senior Athletics Federation Competition, clearing 5.45m. Meena won gold on countback. Both athletes met the Commonwealth Games qualification standard.
